Shareholder activists sometimes use terms like Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Corporate Governance (CG) interchangeably. Mix CSR and CG in with Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) investing, and now you’re really confused. In reality, these all are separate ideologies, sometimes related, but nonetheless different.
