Big news. In the last week, Moxy Vote has been put through its first paces, and it appears to be working. We have processed proxy ballots for some shareholders of On2 Technologies — see some of their opinions on a proposed merger with Google here. As of last Tuesday, about 100 shareholders voted proxies representing 5.5 million shares through our site.
If you’re a shareholder of On2 and want to use Moxy Vote to submit a ballot, you will need your ballot’s control number. Once you have that, login to the site and complete the On2 ballot.
We weren’t expecting this activity so soon after we announced the site to the world. Thank you for your patience as we work around a few glitches. This is the first step in a long journey, but judging by the shareholders’ enthusiasm, it looks like we’re heading in the right direction.
Thank you, On2 shareholders, for voting through Moxy Vote.

Unfortunately, there has been so much confusing banter back and forth on the message boards that combined with the late start in availability of the moxyvote option, we will not see anywhere near an accurate vote count for the On2 proxy on moxy. There would have to be around 2000 control mumbers (accounts) voted in order to represent the 700 or so stockholders who declared that they would vote no in the earlier campaign. It would appear that few of those who voted earlier via the proxies they received have bothered to revote via Moxy—result–we will not have the weapon we hoped to have to give us a check on the honesty of the vote count put out by On2. Nice try, but it was too little too late—.
George, we'll get an updated vote count soon.
Moxy Vote sounded like such a great idea and the On2 vote an equally great opportunity for Moxy to show what it could do but it seems to be just another over promise under deliver boondoggle.
I entered my data into what seems to be a black hole. Please show me I'm wrong.
Kevin, we think it's a good idea too! As of early this morning, 18.9 million shares have been voted through Moxy Vote. This represents 10.7% of the shares outstanding.
Is there any way I can verify how you voted on my behalf? I cannot go back and see what I had submitted. It would be reassuring to know how I voted. I never got an email confirmation either even though I requested that in my preferences.
Yes, it does feel like I entered my data into a black hole.
How many were yes votes and how many were no votes?
I wanted to respond to several folks that have commented on not receiving confirmations on votes (in particular Kevin and Ron above)– you should have received something by now from Moxy Vote. If not, please email hello@moxyvote.com with your contact information and we will look into any specific problems immediately.
Thanks,
Mark and the Moxy Vote Team
Patrick,
Unfortunately, due to legal and regulatory issues we are only able to disclose the votes for and against after the annual meeting is complete. Up until that point we will display total vote counts only.
Thanks,
Mark and the Moxy Vote Team
